How do I buy something from SteelOnline?
1. Find the product you wish to buy Browse the various categories or click on the links in the main menu. You can also use the search option located on all pages. When you find a product that interests you, click the title or name of the product to see its details and price. 2. Add to basket Found the products you want to buy? Click on Add to Basket. Your shopping basket contains all the products that you have selected to buy. Once you’ve added a product to your shopping basket, you can go back and keep searching and adding to your basket. You can access the contents of your shopping basket at any time by hovering and/or clicking on the shopping basket icon at the top right of any page on the website. You can also add products to your Wish List, which is a handy list of all the products that you do not want to check out with immediately, but that you want to remember for later. You can move products between your shopping basket and your Wish List. Products have to be in your shopping basket for you to check out. 3. Check out * To enter checkout, go to your shopping basket and click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button. * You will now be prompted to log in or to register for an account, if you are not already logged in. * Complete your delivery address or create a new delivery address. * Select your payment method, insert any voucher or promotional coupon details, and click on the ‘Proceed‘ button on the bottom right of the page. * Select your preferred delivery option from those available and click on the ‘Proceed‘ button on the bottom right of the page. * Choose your payment method and follow the steps to complete payment, then click on ‘Pay Now‘ to complete the order. * A complete order summary will now display with all the details of your complete order.
How can I pay for my order?
You can pay for your order by doing an EFT. We will only process your order once the funds clear in our bank account. Unfortunately we do not currently accept credit cards or debit cards, but we hope to very soon. Please also note that we do not accept payment on delivery or cash payments. All available payment methods will be presented to you at checkout.
How do I know if my order has been successfully placed or not?
When your order has been successfully received by our system, you’ll see a confirmation page. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address you specified, giving the details of your order. This confirmation indicates that your order has been received; fulfilment of your order may be impacted by stock availability, delivery or payment confirmation in the case of EFT. If you can’t find this confirmation email, check your spam or junk mail folders. Contact Us if you have any queries about your order.
Can I purchase products from SteelOnline on credit?
No. SteelOnline does not offer any credit facilities or any credit arrangements at this time. Contact Us if you have any queries about it.
How do I use a coupon code?
Step 1 : Shop your heart out and fill your shopping cart with as many products as you want. Step 2: When you’re done shopping, click on the VIEW CART button. Step 3: On the shopping cart page, you can enter your valid coupon code in the section marked COUPON – this is just below the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button. Step 4: Enter your coupon code and click on the APPLY COUPON button. The coupon will now be applied to your order and a “green” success message will appear above your shopping cart content to confirm. Step 5: Continue to CHECKOUT. Step 6: If you missed the shopping cart page and are already on the checkout page, click on the link : “Have a coupon? Click here to enter your code“. This link can be found above your Account Information on the checkout page. Please note that coupons are subject to certain terms and conditions and restrictions of use, that apply. Can my items be delivered to me?
Yes, it can! SteelOnline will deliver your items to any address specified by you within the borders of the Western Cape, South Africa. Please select “Request a Quote” during checkout and ensure to note your delivery address and requirements in the “Additional Information” – Order notes section. We will contact you to quote for delivery and to make arrangements accordingly. Due to the nature of these products, delivery charges will apply and can only be calculated after the order has been processed. We will not deliver to any other address outside of Western Cape, South Africa, unless a prior agreement is in place. Can I collect my order from you directly?
Yes! During the check out process you will be asked to select your preferred delivery option. Select the option “In Store Collection” if you would like to collect from us directly. When your order is ready for collection (normally within 2-3 working days after the order has been received), we will confirm a collection date and time with you via email. SteelOnline “In Store” Collection Address: please confirm full address with us on the day of collection.
How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
Standard Delivery : All products will be delivered within 5 (five) – 7 (seven) working days, unless otherwise specified. Express and Same-day Delivery : These option are not currently available.

Can I cancel my order?
You are entitled to cancel your order prior to the point at which you receive a notification that it is being shipped for delivery. Should you wish to return the product thereafter, you can do so in accordance with our Returns and Refunds Policy.

How do I create My Account?
Register and create your account by following these simple steps: 1. Click on the “Login/Register” link found at the top of any page on the right hand side. 2. Fill in a valid email address and press the button “Register”. 3. An email will be sent to you with your new username and password. Click on the link provided to access your account. You can now view your orders, edit your profile, set a new password, add your payment options and add/change your addresses. 4. That’s it! You are all set and ready to shop!
What do I do if I forget my password?
On the Login page click on the link next to ‘Forgot your password?’ and enter the email address that your account was registered with and click ‘Submit‘. We will email you a link to this email address which you can click on to reset your password.
